A "survey" is identified by the content of its question text. When you submit a set of questions for the first time, it counts as your 1 credit. Re-validating that same set after applying AI revisions: free. Running structural revisions on it: free. Tweaking a question and re-validating: still free if the changes are wording-only on the same items. Submitting a fundamentally different set of questions: that's a new survey, deducts 1.
We identify "same survey" by computing a content fingerprint of your question text. Question order doesn't matter; trailing whitespace doesn't matter. Adding or removing a question, or substantively rewording any item, creates a different fingerprint and counts as a new survey.
Before your credit is deducted, the app shows a confirmation dialog — "You're about to use 1 of 1 credit on the survey currently in the textarea." If you mistakenly pasted the wrong survey, click Cancel, re-paste, and try again. The credit is only committed when you click Validate in that confirmation dialog. After your first successful validation, the dialog doesn't appear again (you already know the model).
The app may go to sleep if you leave it idle for 15+ minutes. When you come back, log in with your PIN and re-paste the same survey — it's still recognized as your paid survey and re-validation is free. The credit is preserved.
Each PIN includes a generous AI processing budget that covers a full iteration cycle on one survey (validate → AI revision → structural revision → apply → re-validate). Most users complete their work within this budget. If you push beyond it (rare), the app pauses and asks you to buy another credit ($39.99) to continue iterating on the same survey. The exact cap is published on our Terms page so the rules are visible to anyone who wants to see them — we cap usage to keep the service sustainable for everyone, not as a hidden surprise.
If you've used your credit and want to keep going, pay $39.99 again at the same checkout link above using the same email as your original purchase. 1 more survey is added to your existing PIN automatically, within seconds — no need to re-enter the PIN. Your 365-day window also resets from the top-up date.
